Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson was slow, at times, to get up and even slipped into the blue medical tent at one point during the first half. It was clear that Hockenson, who was limited in practice throughout the week because of a rib injury, was in a world of pain.Which made Hockenson’s big day all the more impressive, as he helped lead the Vikings to a 27-19 victory over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon at U.S. Bank Stadium.“That guy’s a fighter,” quarterback Josh Dobbs said.Hockenson was Dobbs’ favorite target Sunday. He caught 10 passes for 128 yards and scored a touchdown in the first half alone, and in doing so, he became only the second tight end since 1978 to have at least 10 catches, 100 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown in a single half, per Elias Sports Bureau.“To be honest with you, I kind of blacked out,” Hockenson said. “It was just one of those things where you’re just playing, you’re focused on every play, the ball keeps coming to you, and I was k...Mayor Bass, city Leaders update the public on fire that indefinitely closed 10 Freeway

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here is what came out of the 49ers’ postgame press conferences following their 34-3 win Sunday over the Jaguars:HEAD COACH KYLE SHANAHANNo injuries right now. I’m sure there will be some tomorrow, but there’s nothing right now.Q: What impressed you the most?Shanahan: Just how we overcame a bunch of stuff. I didn’t think we played perfect ball by any means, which you never do. I was just happy that the mistakes we did make, we always overcame. I was real disappointed getting those first two turnovers and not scoring on either of them, having to punt. Then when we get the third turnover, we actually score ourselves on defense but we have to call it back, and that was strategic so we could let the offense do it. Finally, we were able to do one, and being able to get that fourth one was cool. It was playing complementary football. Took us a while a little bit back and forth, but I thought once we were playing well on both sides, that...Thousands rally and march in San Francisco in protest against APEC and corporate power

Protesters with a multitude of causes united Sunday in San Francisco against a common foe: the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum taking place in the city this week and the corporate-powered economic growth it seeks. The issues espoused by the more than 3,000 people who rallied with signs and flags at Embarcadero Plaza downtown before marching up Market Street spanned the rights of Indigenous people, women’s empowerment, LGBTQ equality, and the environment, with a heavy dose of freedom for Palestine and calls for a ceasefire in Israel’s bloody war with Hamas. Starting around 12:30 p.m., speakers from various groups took the stage and amped up the crowd in a noisy but peaceful rally before the march began two hours later.“All of these issues, and all of these organizations, represent different aspects of oppression, and the kinds of exploitative conditions that are imposed on all of us by these large corporations,” said Nancy Hollander, 84, an Oakland resi...Newsom, local officials discuss how to reopen critical fire-damaged 10 Freeway bridge in Los Angeles
