Prince was a useful bench piece for the Timberwolves each of the past two seasons. The Wolves went 31-23 in the regular-season game in which Prince played last season, and just 11-17 in the 28 he missed as a shoulder injury sidelined the 29-year-old for a chunk of the season. Prince provided toughness, shooting and defense. He was perhaps Minnesota’s best off-the-catch player and was an invaluable veteran presence in the locker room, known fondly by his teammates as “TP” or “Peezy.”Prince averaged 9.1 points per game last season, while shooting 38 percent on 3-point attempts.
